"how many days in a year, she woke up with hope but she only found tears,"
2007-01-04, 12:37 a.m.

old music was better because it was less presumptuous in my opinion. and by old i mean the stuff i grew up on.
but we're all prone to think that arent we?
It's so hard to find music that isn't trying so hard to be something it's not.
even regina is starting to get on my nerves a bit. how do you go from eleven eleven to freaking "on the radio"
I love it though, because she's still there, but on her latest album i feel like i have to look for her.

im tired of looking for music. i need it. honestly i crave it. but i'm tired of looking for it.
recently i've been just listening to old stuff i havent heard in awhile, because it takes so much goddamn effort to find a band i can really enjoy, and unless i can drown in it, i've given up listening to it.
i used to listen to pretty much everything, but i dont have as much time anymore, and im frustrated with the amount of stuff i dont completley die in , that i have to wade through before getting to the good stuff.

any reccomendations would be great btw.

much love.

This is the story of a girl
Who cried a river and drowned the whole world
And while she looks so sad in photographs
I absolutely love her
When she smiles

How many days in a year
She woke up with hope but she only found tears?
I can be so insincere
Making the promises never for real
As long as she stands there waiting
Wearing the holes in the souls of her shoes
How many days disappear?
You look in the mirror so how do you choose?

And the clothes that you wear
Look swell the next day
Your hair never falls in quite the same way
You never seem to run out of things to say

This is the story of a girl
And while she looks so sad in photographs
I absolutely love her
When she smiles

How many lovers would stay?
Just to put up with this shit day after day
How did we wind up this way?
Watching our mouths for the words that we say
As long as we stand here waiting
Wearing the clothes on the souls of our shoes
How do we get there today?
When we're walking too far for the price of her shoes

And the clothes that you wear
Look swell the next day
Your hair never falls in quite the same way
You never seem to run out of things to say

This is the story of a girl
Who cried a river and drowned the whole world
And while she looks so sad in photographs
I absolutely love her
When she smiles

And the clothes that you wear
Look swell the next day
Your hair never falls in quite the same way
You never seem to run out of things to say

This is the story of a girl
Who cried a river and drowned the whole world
And while she looks so sad in photographs
I absolutely love her

This is the story of a girl
Her pretty face she hid from the world
And while she looks so sad and lonely there
I absolutely love her

This is the story of a girl
Who cried a river and drowned the whole world
And while she looks so sad in photographs
I absolutely love her
When she smiles
When she smiles!
